This site shows Oregon’s statistics for abortions and live births starting from 1989 to 2012. It’s is amazing to see the drastic changes that have been made over the years. The biggest leap in statistics for abortions took place between the years 2011 and 2012. Roughly 5,751 less abortions took place in 2012. This is a huge stride for anti-abortionist and groups. Multnomah County was statistically placed as the highest abortion performing County in Oregon, almost contributing to one-third of the total abortions recorded in 2012. Fourteen out of thirty-six Counties in Oregon had less than 10 abortions in 2012.
I was also curious about the procedures taken place to perform a partial birth abortion. In the video below you are taken through the step by step process demonstrated by Dr. Lile. He explains that partial birth abortion can be performed anywhere up to term because mothers health has been defined as physical, psychological, emotional, age and familial. The longer I watched the video the more extremely disturbed I became with demonstration. Multiple times Dr. Lile refers back to how lively the baby is throughput the process until the last steps. The entire baby except the head is outside of the womb. Then the doctor injects scissors through the babies foramen magnum (a small whole at the bottom of the skull) and opened inside the head. Then a suction tube can be injected to suck the babies brain out. It amazes me that a woman would carry a baby for a period of time and then be willing to give it up in such a disgusting way.
